Opaque Projector
The opaque projector is used to project photographs, drawings, book pages and the like onto a screen for group viewing. It performs this function by lamp illumination of the material with the image being reflected by a mirror through a lens onto a screen.

Guidelines in Using Opaque Projector
1. Since opaque projectors are usually scarce, be sure to reserve one for the day you plan to use it.
2. Besides scarcity, the opaque projector may be in need of repair; thus the teacher should always have a Plan B just in case.
3. Practice with the projector in advance of the lesson so that the machine is properly placed to ensure maximum viewing effectiveness.
4. Pictures must be flat or parts of the image will be out of focus.
5. As with all sub-strategies, the material must fit the presentation.
6. If you can't find one in your building, look for it in an out-of- the-way closet, basement, attic, etc.
